Old craftsman story

In 494 BC, King Fuchai of Wu led a large army to attack the state of Yue and continued to invade its territory. King Goujian of Yue led his remaining troops to retreat to Kuaiji Mountain, but Fuchai was pressing on step by step. Goujian had to abandon his troops and disguise himself with around ten trusted aides, fleeing eastward. At noon on the appropriate day, Goujian and his companions arrived at Heng Street at the foot of Siming Mountain. It was the dry season of July, coupled with the ups and downs of the past few days, and Goujian fainted on the ground due to the heat. An old chef happened to pass by and kindly invited them to rest in his workshop. Arriving at the workshop, the old mat maker made room for Goujian and the others to sit and wanted to find a cool mat for Goujian, who had been in the heat, to rest. But after searching the entire workshop, the pre woven mat had already been bought, so the old mat maker had to find a mat that had been woven for most of the time and had not been completed, and let Goujian lie down. In an instant, King Goujian of Yue, lying on the cold mat, felt a sudden coolness, as if he had never slept in such a comfortable bed before, so he fell into a deep sleep. When I woke up, not only had most of the heat gone, but my mind became clearer. Even more miraculously, Goujian also had a dream in which an old man from Xianfeng Ancient said to him:& ldquo; Your Majesty, if you can tolerate the greatest humiliation in the world, you will definitely be able to regain the kingdom. Hurry up and seek peace with Fuchai, endure for a while and you will surely achieve great things& rdquo; Goujian felt that this was the guidance from heaven, so he bowed and thanked the old mat maker, and bought most of the cooling mats with a large sum of money. At this moment, the old mat maker had no idea that the person in front of him was the King of Yue. Leaving the side street, Goujian immediately sent Wen Zhongxing to rush to Wu to seek peace with Fuchai. In 492 BC, Goujian and his wife became slaves in Wu. Following the guidance of the old man in his dream, he endured humiliation and carried the unfinished mat with him, sleeping on it to taste his courage! After the state of Yue conquered the state of Wu, Goujian sent someone to deliver the flat forehead he personally wrote to the old mat maker on Hengjie, and designated the old mat maker's cool mat as a tribute& ldquo; Lao Xijiang; The story spread and the cool mat, which gave people a dream and guidance, became famous throughout the country and remained prosperous for a long time. By the 1950s& ldquo; Lao Xijiang; Later generations reappeared in Ningbo, and in the 1970s, someone built a weaving craft factory in Meiliang Bridge, Hengjie Town. Several descendants of the legendary old mat makers became craftsmen in the factory.
